Tools, resources, and lessons learned to help public health professionals work from home

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, public health professionals around the world, along with others, are doing our part in limiting the spread of the virus.

As such, you and your organization may have made the decision to work from home. To do our part in supporting the public health workforce, we’ve pulled together this guide for you.

If your organization has never (or rarely) experimented with working from home for long periods of time, you may find this list to be a good starter. We encourage you to have discussions within your teams on how to make your unique situation work for you and explore other tools and resources.

We didn’t want this to be a long document so have kept the descriptions as brief as possible. If you or your team has any questions about any of the tools mentioned or how to deploy it within your team, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@phspot.ca (or on any of our social media accounts) and we will be available to support!

Also, if you’d like to share how your work from home experience is coming along, we’d love to have you write for us or have you on our podcast. Send us an email with your email and we can take it from there!

These are very unique circumstances and we must all do our part in supporting the global response to this pandemic – we thank you for everything you are doing from supporting directly with response efforts, practicing social distancing, and helping your friends, families and communities make sense of COVID-19.
